Re: Obsolete version of Office?
I have Win XP Home 2002 and Word 2000. I installed the Add-In today. I should have read the version instructions, but was focused on a different problem (silly, I know). Shortly after, I found that when I opened Word 2000, the program would hang. The border was there in some fashion, but the menu buttons...

Shoot. How can I get that version back?
I was working on a document at home and elsewhere. I had made a few changes last night and had kept the file open on my computer. Then I worked on it at some other places and made a lot of progress. I came home about 3 hours later and tried to open it using the office toolbar. It kept opening up the...

Obsolete version of Office?
I downloaded and installed the Office Live Add-In without really looking to see if there were any caveats. I see no difference in my Word/Excel, etc., no way to access the uploaded documents. I may have seen flash by that it works with Office XP and 2003 and 2007. I have Office 2000. Is that too old...

If a Microsoft Office document(s) crashes during editing in shared reviewing process, how does the recovery process work for that document?
Scenario What will happen to the Microsoft Office document(s), (for example, Microsoft Word) , if one of the document that is currently being used crashes during the work-in process. How will the recovery process work? Should the Author resend the invitation for reviewing the document? Should the recovering...

How do I update my OLW as new features/versions are released?
Are the updates and new versions of OLW automatically applied to all workspaces, or do I need to do something to keep my OLW current with the new features?

Re: Version question
Hi Chris, We only keep one auto version at any time and it will get updated to your last edit if it's over 12 hrs ago or if someone else you shared it with is editing the document. However, you can save multiple versions of a document by using the Save to Version History option under Version. User...

Re: author cannot edit his own work on another computer
And finally, in my original post I noted that one of the editing problems we had was from a user who was using an incompatible version of Office -- in her case it was Office 2000. Once we upgraded her to Office 2003 with an available license, everything worked fine for her. My recollection is that Office...

Versioning Workspace Documents
My colleagues and I are having difficultly using the versioning features of Live Workspace. They either do not work reliably or not at all. Can someone (ideally from Microsoft) please confirm the process we should use to version Word, Excel or PowerPoint files through the Live Workspace interface? DR
