  • Sharing without sending an invitation?

    I'm new to Office Live & have been using Google Docs. I prefer Office Live & am moving docs to my new workspace. My collaborators know the documents are being moved. Do I have to send an invitation each time I share a document? Google Docs gave me the option to share without sending an invitation...

    Steve, here is one more thing we didn't discuss that might be an issue for you: file format. Is it possible that you created the document you wish to edit in Office 2007, the default format of which is a ".xlsx" file -- and then attempted to edit that default format file in an earlier version...

    I couldn't agree more with John. We tried Google Docs, and in concept I really like it. In practice, it has a looooooonnng way to go. When I had the opportunity to setup a workspace here, I jumped on it; we've moved everything over from Google Docs, and with a couple of exceptions, I like this...

    Is there anyway to put an RSS feed on the workspace so that people can be notified whenever an item is changed? I know SharePoint has the ability to provide either detailed or summary notices of changes.

    I'll add my vote to second this request. Many times collaboration involved and requires discussion. I would love to be able to post a document and then have a discussion board opened about that document.

    Is there a way to build a forum to be used in workspaces. say, i share docs within a community of users, it would make sense to have a forum or at least a bulletin board type of setting where people can exchange ideas and thoughts within said community. wrong place/webapp to do this? Thanks!
