Copy Contacts Causes Outlook Read-Only Error
I'm trying to figure out how to copy my contacts from my local Outlook contact list to a Sharepoint list on OLW. Whenever I try to copy a contact in Outlook, I get an error that the OLW list is "read only." What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Oscar, Thanks for the reply. How does one create User Defined fields for Tasks and Contacts? Couldn't find anything in Help. What about Categories? I assume they cannot be synced with OL. Are they available in OLW and if so, how do I set them up?

Oscar, Can you be more specific about how the "drag and drop" method is supposed to work. I created the OLW Contact folder and clicked the Connect to Outlook and now have a folder in OL07. Copied some contact records into it and then realized that there is no way to get them back into OLW....

I noticed you responded to a person telling them that Outlook 2007 Contacts and Calendar can be imported into Live WorkSpace. Is this also true for Outlook 2003 or just for 2007? Do you happen to know the answer for Outlook 2003? When I attempt to do the described process in 2003, I receive a read-only error. Specifically: "Can't copy/import the items. Windows SharePoint Services folders are read-only in Outlook" Thanks for the help!

You can connect a "Contact List" from a workspace to Outlook 2007. This creates a contact folder in Outlook 2007. At that point, you can import/copy/paste contacts into the contact store in Outlook. Changes you make on the web site sync back to Outlook and vice-versa. Same thing with Event...

Is there an easy way to import Contacts or Calendar items into your space?
Seems pretty silly to not have an easy import button in the UI and I certainly don't want to have to retype information. I don't see an option using the Add-In for either of the items. Also is there a way to share your calendar up to the space?
