Impressions after using for 3 weeks.
My initial impression after using for 3 weeks is that is is a solid concept, but not at all ready for prime time. These are the issues I have encountered: 1. Frequently stuck on "loading" or "deleting" or other then given message "cannot connect to server" 2. Files always...

With OLW, you don't need an Adobe Acrobat for converting your document to PDF or WinZip to compress your file(s) anymore
Hi Earlier, we used to convert the Microsoft Word document to Portable document Format (PDF). to send document(s) across for peer reviews. The document used to be larger in size when it was concerted to PDF, so we used to compress the PDF file , using the WinZip program . Suppose, there is restriction...

Re: Trouble transferring a Powerpoint presentation (wav.ppt file) to Workspace.
I retried uploading my Powerpoint Presentation and this time got an error message that the folder was too big and to try compressing it. It is 100mb's and in the fine print I notice there is a 50mb maximum for workspaces. I don't know how to compress this folder. It has a sound file (wav) which...

Re: Download Multiple Files at once
Thanks for your feedback. We don't currently support multi file download. This is certainly something to be considered for our future releases.

Re: author cannot edit his own work on another computer
Steve, here is one more thing we didn't discuss that might be an issue for you: file format. Is it possible that you created the document you wish to edit in Office 2007, the default format of which is a ".xlsx" file -- and then attempted to edit that default format file in an earlier version...

Re: How collaborative is this?
I couldn't agree more with John. We tried Google Docs, and in concept I really like it. In practice, it has a looooooonnng way to go. When I had the opportunity to setup a workspace here, I jumped on it; we've moved everything over from Google Docs, and with a couple of exceptions, I like this...

Organize a workspace by using folders?
Is there a way to add folder organization within a workspace? From what I can tell right now, all files have to be placed into a flat space. I would like to organize the files into some type of grouping using folders (i.e. Live SkyDrive lets you create folders within folders). Having all files in a flat...

Batch Upload?
I just got my Office Live sign-up activated, and love the service so far! My one problem is that I already have a lot of Office 2007 documents saved on my local hard drive and I want to upload them all to my Live Workspace. Right now it seems like the only ways to do that are to upload them one by one...
