Excel file

Using Vista Business/Office 2007

Recently uploaded another Excel file. When trying to open the file I get this error:

"xxxx" cannot be viewed in Web page format. Click Save As to download "xxxx" to your desktop and use the appropriate program to open it. When I open the file in Excel it is contains no data, even my original file contains non of the original data. What did I do wrong?

Re: Excel file

Hi Chris,

Are you using Office Live Workspace to work with/view your Excel file?

If not, and if your problem is just with Excel, you'll need to visit http://support.microsoft.com for help with your Excel problem.

Re: Excel file

Yes with OL Workspace, sorry if that was unclear. I have no problem with Excel on the desk, just when I upload a file it strips data. Can't view the file using Workspace. Then after any Excel file is uploaded the original has been stripped of any data. Word and other files I have no problem with.

Thanks

Re: Excel file

Hi Chris and Sam. I'm Julie, one of the French-language moderators for OLW. One of my French-language users is having the same problem with his .xls file. I'll see if it's all Excel files or just the one, but I'd love to know if there's a fix for this that either of you have found.

Thanks!
