Unable to complete sign-up after receiving 'Workspace is Ready' e-mail

We have received a number of questions about this and we are working through each of them individually.  Thank you for your patience as we do this.  Please note that at this point the service has not yet been opened outside the United States of America, and then only to the first few early registrants at this time.

Thank you all for your patience as we worked through this issue!

Ken_Brown, Loxish and Dalydose,

I checked your accounts and you do have access so if you click the "Complete Signup" link in your email, you should be able to get in.

For the others who have reported having this issue, you are still on the waitlist so you may not have received the "Workspace is ready" email yet. If so, please be patient while we get people off the waitlist. If you are having issues signing up after you received the email at your Live ID, please respond to this forum or contact Support so that we can take a look.

Also, we are only available in the US for now so if you are trying to get this from outside the US, you may not be able to complete Sign up.  We are planning on opening up the waitlist internationally and will inform you when this is completed.

If you are having issues signing up after you received the email at your Live ID, please respond to this forum or contact Support so that we can take a look.

I am having that very issue, Kavitha.  My email is erier2003@yahoo.com.  Thank you for your continued assistance.

Erier2003, can you please try again completing Signup by following the link in the email that was sent to you? Our system shows you as having access.

Thanks for checking.  I am still not able to get in and contacted Office Live support.  Is that where you are??  They had me go through a bunch of clearing and tweaking of the browser, but they are digging further into it now.

Erier2003, can you please try again completing Signup by following the link in the email that was sent to you? Our system shows you as having access.

I have again tried accessing OLW and still I am told that I am on the pre-registration list and will be contacted when my account becomes available.  Here is a screenshot of the problem I encounter when following the steps in my confirmation email.

Hi, I received the email on 12/13/2007 but have till today not been able to sign up and beore you ask, yes I am in US.

I had contacted support and they told me that my workspace is not ready but on sending them the email I had received I was told that there is a problem and it is being worked on.

Can you please let us know the estimate time period when this will be sorted out instead of we trying to find out if the things are working and we have the access.

I'm still getting the same issue. After signing with my passport account (linked the the ken_brown@hotmail.com address), and hitting the "accept" button to accept the terms, I get this message:  "We are unable to complete signing up for Microsoft Office Live at this time. Please click the Back button and try again later."

Ken, I finally see why you are having this issue. Since we use your Live ID to determine access, we are unable to support Linked IDs now. If you try signing up with your hotmail address directly, you will be able to complete sign up. 

 Jeff, Erier2003, AlankarSharma - I am sorry that you are still having problems. Unfortunately, I am on the product side and therefore, do not have insight into all the specifics of your case. Since you have contacted Support, that is the best avenue to close your issues. In terms of an SLA for resolution, Support will be able to provide the details for you based on your case.

Sorry, I phrased my answer badly. I am signing under my the ken_brown@hotmail.com Windows Live ID account, but I'm still getting the Workspace sign-in error.

I also am unable to complete signup. I received the email stating that my live workspace is ready on 12/13/2007 (screenshot here).

My email address is eddy at customcabinetsoftware dot com

Please help me resolve this.

I am another customer who is having the same issue.  I received an email on 12/13/2007 stating our workspace was ready.  What's up????

 Can anyone help with this - email china.direct.2.u@cd2u.net

I'm having the same problem and I even got an e-mail telling me I haven't taken advantage of it, to hurry up. When I e-mailed tech support they told me I received it an error. Come to find out I didn't and that I'm about to miss out.

OK...now THEY are annoyed with ME.  I got an email "Reminder" that my Workspace is ready for me and I haven't taken advantage of it.  Grrrr...I've *tried* to take advantage of it, but I am still having the same error as everyone else.  It's like being invited to a party, but given the wrong address and they send you text messages about how rude you are for not showing up.  :)

Hi all -

Can you double check and make sure that you are not entering in your live id under "check availability"? That will not complete sign-up. You have to hit the "sign-in" button which will then prompt you to enter in your Live ID to complete sign-up.
