 update 1.1 has been installed successfully, but the open/save problem is not solved (Vista Home)

 Word crashed, the Office Live add-in blocked, no connection between Office Word and Office Live any more. do not try update 1.1.!

Dambha, can you please elaborate on exactly what is happening when you click on the "Sign into Office Live"? What do you mean by "Add-in blocked"? We have heard other success stories around Update 1.1 so I am hoping we can resolve your issue here.

CKM, the error code 1392 shows that you had an corrupt file error that might happen if you intermittently lost Internet connectivity. Can you please try to download again?

Keeter, I was suggesting a workaround to the VS 2008 conflict so that your Add-in install is unblocked so that you can see that isn't nasty :) By the way, we are already working on getting the conflict resolved so that you dont have to uninstall this component.

 Word starts beeing signed into Office, the content of my Live Office map can be seen, but the open/save problem persists. Trying sign out Word freezes saying Office Live Add-in caused the problem.

I fixed this problem after some trial and error. Issue was that I was using proxy within my IE. Once I disabled proxy it starts working fine without any issue.

I've got Update 1.1 but am also having this issue, using Office 2007 Ultimate and Vista Home Premium.

 I can see my workspaces fine but can't save anything to them or open anything from them.

Well I've done nothing since my last post, except move my PC from my University network to my home one and it now works fine....odd.

  Just a note on your move, it could have been your network change, BUT I have two Vista systems on the same in house network, one will do and one will not do Office Live.  The two are connected into the same router and network!

One of the Vista systems is loaded down pretty heavy with development software, which does not connect and the other is not loaded down, which connects.
