Re: Tell us your story.

I find workspace.office.live.com a very useful tool for me, to keep track of my office documents and my personal documents as well. In my spare time I write short stories and work on my novel, and also work on game ideas. I find it very easy to upload the documents to workspace that I created for each of these categories and save the version. It is very easy to upload the document to my workspace and access it from home, rather than email it. The document sharing option is very great. I have shared zip files, pdf file, so far so good. Once it so happened that a document that I worked was in word 2007, but at the c lient place it was office 2003, and I nened to open the document and show them. So here is what I did, I opened the document in workspace, and it showed a read only preview, I was able to copy all content of the document and pasted it into word 2003, result the day was saved.

Re: Tell us your story.

I am a member of the Australian National Curling Team. The team is spread around geographically in Australia, and our Coach is in Canada.

We used to rely on email to work together and share documents and ideas.  We recently setup an Office Live Workspace to have a central place to manage our documents, team photos, athlete bios, drug testing forms, training logs etc.

I recorded a video of how we use Office Live Workspace and some of the other Live Services to achieve this - centred around how we orchastrated ourselves for the Pacific Curling Championships in Beijing where we took home the Silver medal.  The video is available in Silverlight:  http://silverlight.services.live.com/56796/WWDemoComp_IanPalangio/video.wmv

We even got some pubicity on the use in our local media:  http://www.smh.com.au/news/case-studies--profiles/team-conquers-curly-problem/2008/05/19/1211182701216.html

 Cheers,

Ian
