More Than 100 Guests

I am considering using OLW for posting of a schedule I am responsible for.  My concern is the limit of 100 guests as I currently have 350 people that would be viewing the schedule.  Does anyone know if the 100 guests is per email or if that is a total allowed number of guests?  I was hoping to be able to break my contact into groups of 100 or less as needed to allow all to view the document.  Will this work or am I going to only be able to allow 100 guests access?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mike

Re: More Than 100 Guests

Unfortunately, the limit is 100 total per workspace (or per document, if you're sharing it on its own).

To help us evaluate increasing that limit, could you let us know what group has 350 people you need to share with?

Thanks for your feedback!

Re: More Than 100 Guests

Ned -

Thanks.  The 350 people is for a volunteer schedule for our church.  Currently we have 150+ volunteers that share a schedule.  I send it out by email in both excel and pdf since most of the users are not very computer literate.  Even sending it in a pdf file, many users call or email that they can not open the file, do not have the program etc.  I have sent links to adobe, imbedded downloads and several other ways to make it simple for them.  Our current growth path places us with over 350 volunteers by the end of the year, so I am looking at ways to simplify thier viewing the schedule.  I was hoping this would be an easy fix for me, but the 100 guest limit will prevent this from working for me.  I would have preferred this over other online scedule solutions as I am very proficient in office products (the schedule is done with excel) and do not want to learn a new product, then have to teach that to the volunteers who help with the schedules.  Hopefully the limit will increase in time as this product matures.  For now, I will be using it for smaller scale sharing.

Again, thanks for your reply,

Mike

Re: More Than 100 Guests

Thanks for all the details Mike. It sounds like you need the large group to be able to view the schedule, with a smaller set of people needing to be able to edit it.

Unfortunately this isn't possible today, but these details will help us investigate ways to enable what you want to do in future versions.

Thanks again,

Ned
