Failure to install programs

Greetings,

I am seeking any advice regarding an installation failure.  I signed in with Office Live Workspace and received the instructions to install a program to integrate with Office. I went ahead to install it and was unable to. I received the following error message:

Welcome to the community! This has been a common problem and a simple search here will yield a lot of results. One thread worth looking at is:

Office Live Update 1.1 won't install

Not sure if you were using Live Update 1.1 but now Live Update 1.2 is available and has sorted the issue for many.

 Office Live Update 1.2 for Microsoft Office Live Workspace beta  (released 8/12/2008)

Thank you for your reply. Sorry I did not clarify but I actually was using the Update 1.2.

I guess the next step is contacting support.

Thank you again. I tried to contact support--I am guessing that the error code is 1060?--however I was unable to locate any information on that. Does Vista64bit have anything to do with this problem???

For reference, in case it's not clear from the logs: This occurred on a Japanese system running Windows Vista Ultimate in 64-bit SP 1.
 

The MS Office is version 2007, also SP1.

The user has overcome this after attempting many different approaches in Vista.  Exact cause of issue undetermined.
