Why can't I upload any Access databases to the Workspace?  Seems like that would be one of the Microsoft products that you would definitely be able to share with others.

My understanding is that using Access files on Workspace would present a security issue.

If the data you want to post can be ordered in table forum, one fix might be to simply copy it and paste it into an Excel file, which could then be uploaded to Workspace. 

Alternatively, you could share the material from Access as a .zip file.
