Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

As far as I know, it is not.

It would be great if you could though. Imagine the ad-hoc nature of OneNote appearing on the web. A really really interesting idea.

Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

Thanks for the feedback. In the meantime, you can save individual OneNote files to Office Live Workspace, but not entire Notebooks.

Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

Thanks Ned,

Can you edit OneNote files online? That would be really cool.

I would try it out for myself but my invitation to use workspaces hasn't come through yet (hint hint :) )

Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

I tried to share a OneNote 2007 noteboook with a colleague using Workspace.  OneNote has the concept of a shared notebook (works with SharePoint or any other shared network location), but when I tried entering the URL to my workspace I got a OneNote error saying I didn't have permissions to the entered network location (path).  In other words, it doesn't work.

Seems to me the Office application with inherent sharing features should be the first to be supported by Office Live Workspace.

Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

Yeah, I was really dissappointed, as there's still not a very good way to share a OneNote workbook across multiple locations for consumers.

Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

Two people in this support thread claim to be able to create a shared OneNote notebook with Office Live Workspace (choose "OneNote and Office Live Workspace"):

 http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?query=live+workspace&dg=microsoft.public.onenote&cat=en-us-office-onenote&lang=en&cr=US&pt=9ed26560-3c22-41af-82a9-70756b0cd3fd&catlist=&dglist=&ptlist=&exp=&sloc=en-us

I tried all of their suggestions and it still doesn't work for me.  My feeling is it's because there is no way of understanding exactly what url you should supply.  Why not try and see if it works for you?  Please post back with your experiences!

Re: Support for OneNote Notebooks?

Maybe it's not the best way but i uploaded my onenote notes to my OLW, and since it is a sahred Workspace with some some friends, hey downloaded it and open it in one note, so we can get updated everytime...

But i vote for an integration with OLW just like word, excel or powerpoint does...
