The 'problem' Ali is that Office Live Workspace is not functioning as advertised on the most basic features. It claims we have 500 MB available for upload and in two separate accounts I could never load more than about 275MB. Support could not figure out why I was having this problem and wanted to have my sign ID and password to investigate. Not good when they ask for your password...
So I created a second 'throw away' account (figuring Support would want the password to that account), I recreated the out-of-space problem by using multiple workspaces. I reported the issue to Support again and they could not see why I was not able to upload more than about 275MB. They passed on the issue to the Development team. That was about 5 weeks ago and I have not heard anything since.
Also when I reached the out-of-space condition in the second account, I could no longer share ANY of my workspaces. I was already sharing one workspace but could not add any new individuals to it. I contacted Support about this new problem of not being able to share any workspaces. They said they did not have enough English speaking support personnel and refered me to the Forums for an answer. I posted a question but no one helped.
Finally I tried something on my own. I completely deleted absolutely everything I had, created on new workspace, unloaded a few documents, and presto the sharing worked again. However I had to take pretty drastic action to fix the problem - delete everything. So much for 'sharing'.
Finally I gave up on Office Live Workspaces. I could see Support was not interested in fixing a most basic problem. The product does not work as claimed.
I'm now using a competitior's solution - which works.
