I cannot open or save to a Workspace from the office button menu in an office program. l am using Windows Vista SP1 Ultimate Edition and Microsoft Office 2007 SP1 Ultimate Edition.

I attempted to install the Update 1.1 but it failed when it could not install a required update while Internet Explorer 8 Beta was installed. After uninstalling Internet Explorer 8 Beta, the required update and Update 1.1 successfully installed.

 'Open-' and 'Save to Workspace' appear in the Office 2007 menu and I'm able to sign in with my Windows Live ID. However, no documents are listed in the open menu; clicking on 'open' or 'save' only launches a dialog box to open/save to the local machine.

 Others have reported the same symptoms while components of Visual Studio are installed but I do not have Visual Studio installed.

Having the same or very similar issue with Vista!

I have installed the Office Live Update on my Vista Ultimate laptop. In Word the new menu items appear but if I try to open a word document from my Office Live workspace nothing happens. No OpenFileDialog appears. No error message. Just nothing happens.

Info: Previously an older version of Office Live Update was installed caused the OpenFileDialog behave very slow or freezing Word 2007 ... After the new update nothing the OpenFileDialog does not appear ....

I already successfully using Office Live on a Windows Server 2003.

I'm have the same problem.  I'm running on a laptop with office 2007 on XP sp3 connected to domain.  I have tried this on other machines and all of them worked except my primary laptop system.  I tried on a laptop running office 2007 under Vista SP1 connected to a workgroup, A desktop running office 2007 under XP sp2 connected to a workgroup, A desktop running office 2003 under XP sp2 connected to a domain.  All of these worked.  I did notice in comparison that my laptop that doesn't work does not have Microsoft Office Live listed in the Look in: bar on the left of the file open dialogue box and all the working sytems do have this icon.  I've only be able to get this to fail once, but of course it's on the laptop that I use 80% of the time.
