I am using Word 2003 with Office Live.  When I click on "open" in the Workspace toolbar in Windows, it shows me the files that already exist, but I can't see any way to open a new file.  I can, of course, open an existing file, "save as" to a new name and delete everything in the file, and that is what I have been doing.  Can this be repaired, or have I missed something?

I have several excel files in my workspace; when I hover over a file I get the 4 options: View, Open in Excel, Share and rename.

everytime I select Open with excel NOTHING HAPPENS!!

Here is one option - Just create a new file within Word by clicking New (Ctrl + N) on your Word toolbar (not Workspace toolbar) and when you are ready to save, click Save to Office Live on the Workspace toolbar.

 If you are signed in, you can just select the Workspace from the flyout. If you are not signed in, you can sign in and this will open the File Save dialog in Office where you can select the workspace and click Save.

What version of Office do you have installed on that machine?  Also, it seems likely that the ActiveX we use to launch Word is disabled. If so, you can check to see if Active is enabled under Tools->Internet options->Security->Internet->Custom.

Both Office 2003 AND 2007.  There seesm to be an abundance of Active-A options under Tools->Internet options->Security->Internet->Custom;

Is there a specific one tht I should set to ENABLE?  Thanks,
