Are you using the Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) browser to access Office Live workspace? Over the past few months we’ve received feedback from some users regarding performance issues when using Office Live Workspace on IE6. Thanks to all of you who provided this feedback! From what we heard in the forums and elsewhere, we learned customers were experiencing extremely slow performance loading Office Live Workspace in IE6 and, in some cases, IE6 would hang. This is obviously an unacceptable experience so we have been working hard to find a solution.

    > I know how frustrating it is to have a bug and wait until something is done about it. As a user a couple of months back, I recall thinking: “Gosh, can’t they just fix this?!?” Well, if you’ve worked in the software industry you know that maintenance is a big challenge, and we are no stranger to that problem. We do our best and we work very hard to get all those bugs out before we ship, but sometimes we miss a case or two.

As you make your travel plans this summer, don’t forget to use Office Live Workspace to share your itinerary with friends and family.  It’s a smart way to make sure everybody has access to the most recent details of your trip in case they need to reach you.

  • > We really read the posts and consider the changes you send. Although we may not be as fast as you want us to be in making those changes, we sure take notice. We’ve seen a lot of great ideas that we evaluate and try to address in future iterations. It’s harder than it looks to satisfy everyone, but it is definitely our goal.
