Today, Office Live Workspace beta hit an important milestone. In six short months we have reached over one million customers – thanks to all of you! You have shared your stories, your successes, and your challenges, which have provided us the feedback to keep making this product better—including additional Firefox support and more languages (we just added Brazilian Portuguese today!) We hope that you continue to enjoy this product that we are working so hard to make for you—our customers.
I really enjoy hearing stories of how all of you are using workspace to improve your lives and the variety of ways you are doing it. From being able to track and communicate health status to family members and doctors, share ideas and research among a small group of clergy, plan a wedding or family reunion—keep those stories coming!
One of my favorites that I want to highlight is how the Australian national curling team is using their workspace. The team itself is dispersed throughout Australia, and the team’s coach lives in Canada. The team used to rely on e-mail to work together and share ideas but chose to set up a workspace to have one central place to manage all training logs, team photos and athlete biographies. They found it particularly beneficial when orchestrating training for, and travel to, the Pacific Curling Championships in Beijing where the men’s team took home the silver medal! Check out the video that they put together that shows the team in action. I know there are many more great experiences like that out there, so don’t hesitate to send us your stories and your suggestions.
