Commentary and discussion of the Workspace product: where it's been, where it's going, and what you can do with it.

(Limited) Polish language lessons

Posted on behalf of Oli, Office Live Workspace Program Manager

I’m excited to announce that Office Live Workspace beta is now available in five additional languages:  Italian, Dutch, Polish, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. This brings our total number of languages to 10, a number that you can expect to see increase over the coming months.

Along with this, we’ve added the ability for users to change their language on the fly at any time through our language switcher at the bottom right of a user’s workspace page.  Simply click the “language” link and select the language you want your UI to display.  If you change your mind, you can easily change back. It’s also a great (and free) way to learn a new language in a really limited way. For example, did you know that “document” in Polish is “dokument”?  Crazy, I know.

As my teammate Avrum has pointed out, we also have better Firefox support now so Firefox users can launch the Office applications to edit their online documents.  We have a lot more planned over the coming months, so stay tuned.

Cheers, Oli
